What you need to bring to have your computer worked on at Computer Reboot

For Desktop Computers, you will only need to bring the computer itself. We have keyboards, mice and monitors plenty. You will not need to bring your cords or modems or routers, we have all that too. Of course, if you are having a specific problem with a printer mouse keyboard etc. then we will need you to bring those items as well. But for most virus removals we just need the computer.

For Laptop computers, Tablets and all-in-one computers you will need to bring your computer and its power supply. Some all-in-ones use a standard NEMA cord but if yours is a special cord, we will need it to do your repair. Of course, if you are having problems connecting to the printer or an external device, we will need the device as well.

Preparing your computer for repair

Sometimes the only way to be sure a virus is gone is to reinstall the Windows operating system from scratch. Sometimes it is just the fastest way. Unfortunately, reinstalling Windows does not magically reinstall all your programs, games and pictures. You already know that you should have backed up all your important files but if you have files on your computer that you need us to save for you, make sure you tell our service people as much as you can about your data so we can make sure to save them for you. We do not reinstall your software for you if you do not bring the installation media. Since your Microsoft Office install CDs require a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) License number to be activated, we cannot reinstall it for you without the CDs and the matching sticker with the number. We also charge a $10.00 fee for each software product we have to reinstall for you. So, it is best that you make sure you know how to do this for yourself at home after the repair.

* All Windows 8 users need to be aware that some Windows 8 computers can only ever run the version of Win8 it came with. Please do not buy those. They suck. They are easy to identify. They say "Surface" or "Surface RT" on them. And Microsoft lost over 900 million dollars marketing them. Nearly as bad as the Microsoft Kin.
